The driving force behind Space Meetings & Events are Jules France and Ashley Thirlwell.
Ashley has been in the industry for many years and is an experienced sales and marketing manager, so let’s just say that Ashley is also a top negotiator and knows a thing or two about running successful events. Ashley has experience working with award-winning international, national and VIP showcase and sporting fundraiser events such as: One Direction, Michael Flatley Lord of the Dance, JLS, Westlife and Charity Fundraisers with speakers from the world of sport such as Alan Shearer, Sir Geoff Hurst and Gordon Banks.
20 years’ operational experience gained from large scale indoor and outdoor live events working with organisations such as: The 1997 Academy Awards, Radio City Music Hall, Buckingham Palace, London O2 Arena, Wembley Stadium, Make a Wish Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital, BBC TV, BBC Radio, Channel 5, Capital Radio, Mars, Colgate, Cadbury’s and Walkers.
Ashley has experience in liaison between tour operators, corporate member’s, local event staff, technical crew, production management and major sponsors and media partners.
Jules has been in sales her entire career and has been instrumental in driving small start-ups through to senior management for large blue-chip organisations. Jules has a need for attention to detail and has a compulsive attitude to making sure everything is ‘just right’ making sure that nothing escapes her eye for detail.
Jules loves to provide the best solutions for her clients and with her negotiating skills and experience in hospitality she has the knowledge to secure preferential rates for you. Having worked in the MICE industry for the past 5 years Jules has worked with some of the most prolific hotels & venues within the UK so she definitely knows the right people, her networking skills are legendary.
Jules has worked on some amazing live events most notably The Brit Awards for 5 years where she worked as part of the Public Relations team and assisted with the liaison for 70 live photographers accredited for the event, running the red carpet for celebrity guest arrivals and for photographers shooting the live show. When not working, Jules loves beach walks with her family, skiing, surfing and having fun with her friends.
